Meet Reza, an artist and musician from Poland.

To start off, who are you and where are you from?

"I’m Reza, I’m from Warsaw Poland, and I like making art, all types of art."

How would you describe the art you make?

"I would describe it as, abstract, and a interpretation of how I see the world. The music and the art, it’s a way of expressing what I see and how I process it. The small things tend to stimulate ideas in my head, so instead of explaining it I show it through my art."

What gravitated you towards that and why do you make it the way you do?

"A few things, one, I was gifted a paintbrush set and guitar around 5th grade. Then as I progressed, I discovered artists like Picasso, Basquiat and Keith Harring. An emphasis on Basquiat, I would write about him, and any school project I could make about him I would. Style wise I use a lot of black lines and defined shapes, although not as messy. Still a large influence from Basquiat, but recently taking inspiration from Emory Douglas and the simplicity of his work. Also a shoutout to my mother, she always puts me on to art, books, and music that inspires me."

What is art to you?

"To me it would be any way of expressing an idea or opinion. Any way of expressing yourself is an art."

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Whether its concerning your art or just in life in general.

"Concerning art, I want to be able to live off my art. Having financial freedom in that aspect. I want to find a way where I can incorporate all of my passions into a more concise representation. For example Madlib and Quasimoto. To kind of create an identity or some type of brand with what I create, a kind of if you know you know."

How can people get in contact with you or keep up with your endeavors?

"Instagram, my email is associated with that. I’m always open to dms on Instagram." (@rezacabeza)

Bonus Question: What’s your favorite song as of lately, or just something you got on repeat?

"Green Juice In Dallas By Larry June"
